For some reason, Richard’s parents have never quite understood what it is he does. He has told them he creates logos and brands, makes ads, posters, brochures, annual reports, newsletters, etc. He’s told them he draws illustrations for people and takes food photography and that he thinks up “grabby” headlines and writes copy. He has told them that he helps people, candidates, companies, agencies, and non-profits figure out how to visualize themselves. Finally he said: I help clients look good. “Oh, okay,” they said.
